How does Super Joint Enhancer work?

The active ingredients include glucosamine, chondroitin, and MSM. Glucosamine is a natural compound that is found in healthy cartilage in both humans and pets. It helps hydrate healthy joints by increasing the production of molecules that bind and hold water in the cartilage. Healthy cartilage provides cushioning, which helps protect a pet's joints while exercising. Many believe that it provides clinical benefit in the synovial fluid by strengthening cartilage and aiding glycosaminoglycan synthesis. Further research on the effectiveness of glucosamine is still needed, but many of our customers find it to be very beneficial to their pets.

Cautions:

If the animal's condition worsens or does not improve, stop product administration, and consult your veterinarian. Safe use in pregnant animals or animals intended for breeding has not been proven. Administer during or after the animal has eaten to reduce incidence of gastrointestinal upset. An examination from a Veterinarian is recommended prior to using this product. Certain canine breeds may be predisposed to copper toxicity.

Storage:

Store tightly closed in a cool, dry place. Do not use if safety seal is broken. Keep out of reach of children and pets.

  • Super Joint Enhancer should be given with or immediately after food to reduce incidence of gastrointestinal upset.
  • If giving more than 1 tablet dicid between AM and PM.

Tip:

Diabetic dogs should have their blood glucose monitored when taking glucosamine supplements.

Causes my two Labrador mixes to vomit
Whenever my two Labrador mixes eat this tablet, it makes them vomit. I would recommend the chewable form of the joint enhancer instead.

I've been using this product for the past 6 years - since I've started running with my dog. No, he wasn't old but I wanted to ensure his joints stayed healthy over time and distance run. Would I buy this product again? Yes.

Works like a charm.
My Doberman began to develop a limp around six years of age after periods of inactivity. I began with just one of the tablets daily which is half of the recommended dosage and within 3-4 weeks he was back to his old self. He eventually began to develop a slight limp with half of the dosage so I increased it to the regular dosage and it once again cleared his limp up. He runs with ease, no longer wakes up from sleep due to joint aches or has any kind of limp. Hoping the full dose completely alleviates his limp for good which I suspect it will.

This is misleading
According to your website it says to give my dog 1 a day. The bottle I received says give 1/2 a pill a day. Plus, the pills crumble to bits if you cut them. Here is my question: it says dogs up to 40lbs give 1/2 a pill daily. Aren’t most dogs under 40 lbs? Even if they aren’t, wouldn’t it make more sense to make a single pill for dogs under 40 lbs and you can give bigger dogs 2 pills? What a stupid product.

seems to be working
My lab has been on this for couple years now. She is 3. I have to cut tablet in half and hide in her kibble at breakfast. She leaves the halfs in her bowl and I give to her with dinner which has her omegas mixed in. Usually all is gone until recently. Now I cut into 1/4s at breakfast and some are gone. I will be switching to another product at next order. She is very active and seems to have healthy joints. I will pick something more convenient that she takes easier.
