My cats with arthritis, healing pelvic fracture, heart disease, kidney disease, and autoimmune skin disease all did their best with Welactin added to their regime. This omega 3 fatty acid supplement is high potency per mL compared to other supplements, and is more effective for all the organ systems mentioned than 3 others we tried. Welactin is very tasty, another improvement over the other brands. We like the snip tip capsule we don't have to puncture. The bottle can be messy like any of the liquid, free-form oils. We rinse the bottle top after each use to limit dripping down the length of the bottle. Cats that refused other forms of fish oil loved this Welactin product. Nutramax Labs does their due diligence testing for safe, effective, palatable supplements before mass production. The higher concentration means less volume needed to meet the dose orthopedic surgeon and feline internists prescribe for joint and heart health. Less volume means easier to get the cat to consume it in food, without excessive volume of oil either being declined by the cat or leading to liquid stool with too much fatty acid oil consumed. Welactin got it right, the first time. The larger 16oz bottle labeled for dogs is great for our cat shelter program dosing many medical foster cats daily, carefully considering mg EPA and DHA per mL when measuring for each cat.
