About this product

What is Cosequin ASU for Horses?

Cosequin ASU for Horses is a nutritional supplement that helps horses maintain healthy joints. It's rated the number one veterinarian-recommend brand. Cosequin ASU for Horses contains glucosamine, MSM (methylsulfonylmethane), and chondroitin, which can help improve joint and connective tissue health. It also contains ASU (avocado/soybean unsaponifiables) that help protect cartilage and support joint function.

For:

Horses

Benefits:

  • Helps improve joint and cartilage health
  • Helps prevent the breakdown of cartilage
  • Safe to use in all classes of horses
  • Protects cartilage and supports joint function

How does Cosequin ASU for Horses work?

The active ingredients in Cosequin ASU, glucosamine, MSM, and chondroitin, work together to help protect the cartilage in your horse's joints by supporting healthy cartilage matrix as well as inhibiting the enzymes that breakdown cartilage. The addition of ASU acts synergistically with both glucosamine and chondroitin sulfate for additional joint support. Furthermore, the combination of these ingredients has been shown to work better than glucosamine and chondroitin sulfate alone at preventing the breakdown of cartilage.

Cautions:

For use in horses only. If your horse has any condition that requires medical attention, you should consult your veterinarian.

Wonderful Improvement
I have been giving this to my 17 year old dressage mare who was starting to have stiffness in her left hock due to arthritis. She's been on it for about 6 months now and shows remarkable improvement. That stiffness is basically gone and she is moving beautifully. I can honestly say this has made a noticeable difference. I don't always say that about supplements, but this one definitely works for typical arthritis/stiffness. So far, I haven't needed injections, just using this helped her enough that I haven't needed to do any more. I think it smells sweet, and I mix it in with soaked alfalfa - no issues with my horse not eating it, but she is not a fussy eater anyway.

Great joint product
My vet recommended this product for my 17 year old jumper and I have noticed a huge difference. This product has extended the time between joint injections tremendously. I was going through joint injections every couple months, but since using Cosequin ASU, I am now back to injecting only 2-3 times a year at most. It has been well worth the cost.

Horse refused to eat product
Put a scoop of powder into the feed bucket and our horse refused to eat her metabolic pellets with this powder on top or any other food on the first day of use. Wouldn't even put her nose into bucket.

Great product and service.
I get this in smart oaks every month. Never miss a day and makes it easy if I can’t get to the barn. I keep my supplements in a locker away from the pen , the oaks mak it easy to just grab and go to pen. Horse eats it without adding grain.
