How to use
Absorbine ShowSheen® Equine Hair Polish & Detangler Directions:
- For Daily Grooming For Use On: Horses, Cattle, Dogs, Llamas, Pigs, Camels, Goats, Alpacas, & Sheep.
- For Detangling: Spray evenly through mane and tail then gently brush out tangles starting from the bottom. Reapply intermittently for tangle-free hair. For a clean and healthy-looking coat remove excess dirt and dust, then evenly apply ShowSheen and brush through in the direction of the hair.
- For use after Bathing: For best results, use ShowSheen 2-in-1 Shampoo & Conditioner, rinse thoroughly and remove excess water. Apply ShowSheen to coat, mane and tail, then brush through. No need to rinse off.
- For easy Removal of Burrs, Sand Spurs and Tough Tangles: Saturate area with ShowSheen and allow it to dry. Starting from the bottom, carefully pick through hair removing burrs, sand spurs, and debris as you go.
Tip:
For a super glossy mane and tail, apply ShowSheen to slightly damp hair and brush through. A light spray on your horse's coat before entering the show ring will add that extra sparkle.

A grooming essential
I have been using Show Sheen for years and it never disappoints. It is great at detangling manes and tails, and keeps them looking nice, shiny, and strong, which is especially important for me as I use it on Morgan show horses, who are known for their luscious manes and tails. I also apply it to their body after currying and then brush it with a hard brush and it really helps keep dirt and dust off. This is also great to use before body clipping, the blades glide right through when I use Show Sheen on them first.

I used it for myself
I actually first learned of this product when I was at my boyfriend's house and forgot my conditioner. He suggested I use the product he uses on his Labradoodle. I used it and the tangles easily combed out. I bought the product and use it at home now. My hairdresser said its the healthiest my hair has ever been!

Helps keep ticks off!
I love this product! Aside from detangling, I've discovered that ticks cannot latch onto her legs or tail where I've sprayed. I've sprayed down the cuffs of my pants after discovering this! Great product, multiple uses!

Good for the body, not so much for mane/tail
I bought the spray bottle to spray on my horse before I body clip her, it works well on her coat. On the bottle it says that it can be used as a detangler, however I do not like to use it on her mane and tail. It feels tacky and I have to wait for it to dry completely before I can even brush her mane/tail out. I've definitely used better detanglers. I also am not a huge fan of the smell, but that's just a personal preference.

Dont do it.
Please dont buy this. It is so drying to your horses coat. Although it works in the moment it is very drying over time. its not worth drying out your horses coat. Better options out there.

Continuous spray nozzle does not work
Continuous spray nozzle does not work! Do not purchase the continuous spray version of show sheen. The nozzle was a nightmare - only a drop came out and then it stopped working entirely. I even had a couple other people try it to see if they could get it to work and they could not. To further complicate things I was unable to return it because it’s an aerosol Thai can and not favored by the post office. Recommend buying only the regular show sheen spray bottles.
